Simone Bernstein is redefining entrepreneurship with Wealth Society, a networking community designed to support female founders’ whole well-being
September 9, 2025
Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business
Starting out at the age of 24, I am a serial entreprenista! I'm a proud auntie, compassionate people-first leader, and ambitious Taurus! I own a barre3 (franchised fitness studio), a successful Permanent Jewelry brand, and I've just launched my third business. Wellth Society has been dreamed up as something that I personally need! Throughout my early days of entrepreneurship, I was anxious, depressed, and burnt out. I would work myself dry 24/7, until once per year I would get sick and be out for almost a month! When Covid hit, I was forced to take a real look inside myself, and discover who I am as a person, not just a business owner. I learned nervous system regulation, and I learned to prioritize myself as a human. I've learned the hard way that success feels better when it's sustainable - when you are healthy enough to actually reap the benefits of your hard work! The Wellth Society is the first of it's kind networking community for female founders -- intentional in person and virtual experiences to support the entrepreneur as a whole!
Who are your customers?
Female Founders, in MA (for now! Expanding soon!)
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
I was a young adult, working at a fitness studio for the first franchise I opened.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
I believed in myself! I saw proof from managing that I could run a successful studio business, and I knew that I could set my mind out to accomplish anything I wanted to! Not sure where that confidence came from, but it served me well!!
Take us back to when you first launched your business; what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?
My first business was a franchise, so I had the framework of branding to lean on! I have always been incredible at implementation, policies and procedures, and operations. I took what I was given and was off running! My marketing is mostly grassroots based on community built relationships!
What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?
Nothing is worth sacrificing your health for!
What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?
Successfully owning and operating 3 small businesses, despite mental health struggles with depression and anxiety
Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?
Wellth Society launched!!
What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
The official launch will be in Boston in January 2026 and we will be launching nationally within 2 years!
What is your top productivity tip?
Putting my phone in another room! I always open all emails and create "tasks" in google from everything I need to accomplish!
On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?
Take care of myself first - my non-negotiable is movement every day. I also use meal-prep services, and go to therapy!
What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?
I always come back to "what's the point?". What's the point of owning three successful small businesses and growing my wealth if I can't spend it on things that make me happy?! Time with my family has been paramount in changing my perspective -- now that I have a nephew, and he changes so frequently, I don't want to miss a thing!
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
To prioritize myself and my relationships above all else!
What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?
Simple -- a color coded google cal and task lists!
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
Find people who are in the same season as you, AND people who are doing the things you want for yourself! It's so helpful to commiserate with people who are in the weeds, and to surround yourself with people who have that "thing" you want!
