Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business
I’m Armine Hutchens, founder of Prosprky Credit Repair and Financial Wellness Company, where we help individuals and families improve their credit, manage debt, and build a strong financial future. At Prosprky, our mission is to provide practical strategies and education that empower clients to make confident, informed financial decisions.
Who are your customers?
At Prosprky, our clients are individuals and families who are ready to take charge of their financial future. Whether you’re looking to repair your credit, buy your first home, reduce overwhelming debt, or prepare for retirement, we provide the tools and guidance to get you there. We work with people from all walks of life—those rebuilding after financial setbacks, families wanting stronger budgets, and professionals planning for long-term security. If your goal is to feel confident and in control of your money, Prosprky is here to help you succeed.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
Before founding Prosprky, I served as Director of Client Relations at JT Davis Asset Management, where I managed retirement accounts, built client relationships, and guided individuals and families through complex financial decisions. In addition to my work in financial services, I am also a professional translator and fluent in four foreign languages, a skill that has strengthened my ability to connect with and serve clients from diverse backgrounds. This unique combination of financial expertise and cross-cultural communication prepared me to create a company dedicated to empowering people through financial wellness.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
have always loved helping people, and over the years I saw how much stress and limitation financial struggles can create. My passion is seeing individuals and families become financially healthy, confident, and prepared for the future. Starting Prosprky allowed me to turn that passion into action—providing education, strategies, and tools that truly change lives. My goal is simple: to empower people to take control of their finances and prosper with dignity.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Yes—I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. From early on, I was drawn to sales, building relationships, and creating opportunities. Entrepreneurship is my strength because it allows me to combine my passion for helping people with my ability to develop solutions, take initiative, and grow ideas into something meaningful. Starting my own business was a natural step in aligning my skills with my purpose.
Take us back to when you first launched your business; what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?
When I first launched Prosprky, my focus was on building trust and visibility within the community. I reached out to the University of Kentucky, the largest employer in Lexington, and I’m proud that Prosprky is now listed in their Business and Finance section as a resource for employees. From there, opportunities grew—I was published by Kentucky Educational Television (KET), featured on WKYT, and invited to speak at Kentucky State University as part of their Financial Wellness series. These partnerships and platforms allowed me to position Prosprky as a credible and trusted resource for financial education. While my original plan was simply to reach people where they worked and lived, the strategy exceeded expectations by opening doors to broader recognition and long-term impact.
What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been educating people on the importance of financial wellness before a crisis happens. Many individuals only seek help once they are already overwhelmed with debt, poor credit, or financial stress. This taught me the importance of meeting people where they are, providing education early, and building trust through consistent outreach and transparency. The experience reinforced my belief that financial wellness isn’t just about numbers—it’s about mindset, habits, and long-term planning. By focusing on education and empowerment, I’ve been able to turn this challenge into an opportunity to make a deeper impact in people’s lives.
What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?
What I am most proud of is seeing Prosprky recognized as a trusted resource in the community. Being listed as a financial wellness partner with the University of Kentucky, featured on Kentucky Educational Television (KET) and WKYT, and invited to speak at Kentucky State University’s Financial Wellness series are accomplishments that affirm the value of the work I do. But above all, my greatest pride comes from my clients. Their success stories and the 5-star reviews they share about Prosprky bring me the most joy. Knowing that the work we do not only changes credit scores and finances but also restores confidence and peace of mind is what truly makes this a 5-star company.
Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?
One of my biggest wins this past year was being accepted into the Leadership Lexington 2025–2026 class. It was a highly competitive process with many applicants, and I feel honored to have been selected. This opportunity will allow me to grow as a leader, connect with other professionals who are passionate about making a difference, and bring even more value back to my clients and community through Prosprky.
What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
Over the next few years, Prosprky will continue expanding our reach in financial wellness and credit education. We are focused on building stronger partnerships with universities, employers, and community organizations to provide more people with access to tools and resources that create lasting financial health.
We also plan to grow our educational workshops, digital resources, and one-on-one services, making it easier for individuals and families to take control of their credit, reduce debt, and plan for their future. Our vision is to establish Prosprky as a leading name in financial empowerment—helping thousands more clients achieve stability, confidence, and prosperity.
What is your top productivity tip?
My top productivity tip is to start each day with clear priorities. I make a short list of the three most important tasks that will move my goals forward and focus on completing those first. By keeping priorities simple and intentional, I avoid distractions and make sure my time is spent on what truly matters for my clients and my business.
On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?
I avoid burnout by setting healthy boundaries and making time to recharge. For me, that means balancing work with family, faith, and self-care, while also maintaining a strong social life with my friends. Staying connected to the people I love keeps me grounded, energized, and reminded that life is about more than just work. I also focus on celebrating small wins along the way, which helps me stay motivated and connected to the bigger purpose behind what I do.
What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?
My approach to work-life balance is about integration rather than separation. I am intentional about giving my best both at work and at home, and I make sure to prioritize what matters most—my family, faith, friendships, and health—alongside my business. I believe balance comes from setting boundaries, staying organized, and making space for the people and activities that keep me grounded and fulfilled.
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
I wish I had known that success takes time and patience—and that it’s okay if the journey doesn’t unfold exactly as planned. In the beginning, I thought results would come quickly, but I’ve learned that consistency, resilience, and building strong relationships are what truly create long-term success. Understanding this earlier would have saved me a lot of unnecessary stress and allowed me to enjoy the process more.
When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?
My favorite interview question is: “Tell me about a time you overcame a challenge and what you learned from it.” This question helps me understand not just skills, but also resilience, problem-solving, and attitude—qualities that are just as important as experience.
Hiring Tips: From my experience, the best hires are not always the ones with the longest résumés, but the ones who are coachable, dependable, and aligned with the company’s mission. I’ve learned to look for people who show initiative, communicate well, and genuinely want to grow. Clear expectations, open communication, and a supportive environment go a long way in building a strong, loyal team.
If you've raised capital for your business already, what are some of your best tips or lessons learned?
I’ve learned that raising capital is less about the money and more about the mission and relationships. Be clear on your numbers, show how your business makes an impact, and align with people who share your vision. Start small, prove your model, and let trust and results open the door to bigger opportunities.
Are you a Mamaprenista? If so, please share your best advice for simultaneously managing a business and a family
Being a Mamaprenista
Yes, I am a proud Mamaprenista. My best advice is to embrace flexibility and give yourself grace—you cannot do everything at once, and that’s okay. I’ve learned to set clear priorities, involve my family in celebrating business wins, and stay fully present in both roles when it matters most. Managing a business and a family takes balance, boundaries, and a lot of heart, but it’s also deeply rewarding to show my children what it means to build something with purpose.
Do you have a co-founder? If so, how did you find the right one for you and what are your best partnership tips?
No, I don’t have a co-founder—Prosprky is something I built from the ground up. Along the way, however, I’ve learned the value of surrounding myself with the right partners, mentors, and collaborators. My best advice is to choose people who share your values, communicate openly, and are as committed to the mission as you are. Even without a formal co-founder, strong partnerships can be the key to long-term growth and success.
What's the one app on your phone you absolutely cannot live without and why?
The one app I can’t live without is my calendar app. Between managing client meetings, family schedules, and community commitments, it keeps me organized and on track. It’s the tool that helps me balance everything and ensures I can give my best attention to both my business and my family.
What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?
My favorite business tool is Redtail CRM. It allows me to keep all client information, communications, and workflows organized in one place, which is essential in financial services. Having a system that streamlines follow-ups, reminders, and documentation not only saves time but also ensures that every client feels valued and cared for. It’s the backbone of staying efficient while maintaining strong relationships.
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
My advice is to believe in yourself and your vision, even when the path feels uncertain. Entrepreneurship requires resilience, patience, and a willingness to learn from both wins and setbacks. Surround yourself with mentors and a supportive network, stay focused on your mission, and don’t be afraid to start small. Most importantly, remember why you started—your passion and purpose will be the fuel that carries you forward.
