Please share a brief introduction and your business:
I’m Nidia, the Miami-based founder and creative director of Dreamy Socials, a strategy-led creative agency focused on helping brands stand out on social media. We partner with brands across the U.S. to combine strong strategy with creative storytelling so their content doesn’t just exist online, it actually builds presence and community. Through Dreamy, I’ve had the opportunity to work with brands like ResortPass, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and more across lifestyle, hospitality, and luxury spaces.
Take us back to when you launched? What was your marketing strategy?
When I first launched my business, my marketing strategy was honestly pretty simple. I focused on posting consistently and sharing as much of my work as possible online. At the time, I didn’t have a highly structured plan, it was more about putting myself out there, showing the work, and building momentum.
A lot of my early growth actually came through word of mouth. As I started working with more clients, referrals naturally followed, which helped the business grow organically. Looking back, my plan was fairly loose, but the consistency, the quality of the work, and the relationships I built ended up doing most of the marketing for me.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Yes, 1000%. The entrepreneurial mindset has always been a part of who I am. Even growing up, I was constantly finding ways to create opportunities for myself. I’ve always been drawn to independence, building something of my own, and creating my own path rather than following a traditional one. Starting my own business felt like a very natural progression of that mindset.
What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is working with ResortPass. It was a huge milestone for my business, not only because it’s a nationally recognized brand, but also because it aligned directly with a goal I set for myself at the start of 2026, to begin working with larger, more established companies.
What made it even more special is that the partnership happened within the very first month of the year. It felt like a powerful validation that the work, strategy, and vision I’ve been building for my agency are resonating at a higher level. Moments like that remind me that the goals we set for ourselves are possible when we stay consistent and continue pushing the business forward.
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
One thing I wish I had known when I first started my entrepreneurial journey is how important systems, structure, and delegation become as a business grows. In the beginning, you’re used to doing everything yourself, but eventually growth requires building a team and trusting others with parts of the process. Learning to shift from doing everything on my own to building something bigger than just myself has been one of the biggest mindset changes. It’s challenging, but it’s also what allows a business to truly scale.
When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?
I usually gravitate toward scenario-based questions because they reveal a lot about a person’s character, problem-solving skills, and how they handle real situations. Skills can be taught, but mindset, work ethic, and how someone approaches challenges are much harder to change. I like asking questions that give candidates the opportunity to walk me through how they would handle a specific situation or obstacle, because it helps me understand how they think and how they would operate within the team. My biggest hiring tip is not to focus only on who looks perfect on paper. Skills and experience are important, but they can always be developed. What matters more to me is finding someone who stands out for their character, energy, and attitude. You can teach someone tools, systems, and processes, but you can’t teach work ethic, positivity, or the way someone shows up for a team.
What did you do before starting your own business?
Before starting my business, my background was really shaped by a lifelong love for creating content. I actually started Dreamy Socials while I was still in college, but the foundation for it goes back much further. Growing up, I was always editing videos, starting with Windows Movie Maker, making YouTube videos, and experimenting with different video and editing apps as they started to emerge (I'm talking I was like 7 years old editing videos!). Creating and storytelling online has always felt very natural to me. I went on to study Public Relations and Advertising at Florida International University (FIU), where I also joined several marketing and influencer programs that helped me understand the strategic side of branding and digital media. But truthfully, building brands and creating content has always been something that felt instinctive to me, which ultimately led me to start my own agency.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
The entrepreneurial spirit has always been in me. Even when I was younger, I was always finding ways to create my own opportunities. In middle school I sold bracelets and DIY jewelry, and in high school I was doing people’s homework for extra money. I’ve always loved the idea of independence, building something of my own, and creating my own path. When I started Dreamy Socials, I was still working a secure job and growing the business on the side. Eventually I reached a point where I realized I wanted more for myself and the life I was building. That’s when I decided to take the leap and fully commit to my business. It was a risk, but one that aligned with the independence and ambition that had always driven me.
Do you have any recent wins?
One of my biggest wins in 2025 was continuing to grow Dreamy Socials and expand the types of brands we were working with. During the year, we had the opportunity to collaborate with brands like Rolls-Royce and Bentley, which was a huge milestone for me and reinforced that the level of work we were producing was resonating with larger, luxury brands.
2025 was also a big year for growth behind the scenes. I made the decision to expand my team and begin building out more structure within the business, which was both exciting and a little scary as a founder. Taking that step made the business feel more real and set the foundation for the next stage of growth.
That momentum carried into 2026, where we began the year by landing a partnership with ResortPass which felt like a full-circle moment after setting a goal to work with more national brands.
What's one app on your phone that you cannot live without?
The Oura app. I rely on it daily to track my sleep, recovery, and overall health. As a founder, it’s easy to get caught up in work and forget how much your energy and well-being impact your performance. The Oura app helps me stay more aware of how I’m sleeping, recovering, and managing stress, which ultimately helps me show up better both in my business and in my life.
Who are your customers?
My customers are primarily lifestyle, hospitality, wellness, beauty, and luxury brands that want to build a stronger presence on social media. Many are founder-led businesses or growing brands looking for strategy-driven content that helps them stand out online and connect more deeply with their audience. While we’re based in Miami, we work with brands across the U.S. that want to approach social media in a more creative and intentional way.
What's your top productivity tip?
Time BLOCKING! If it's not on my calendar or written down somewhere, it's not happening.
What's your favorite business tool?
Rella is one of my favorite business tools. As a social media agency, organization and visibility across content, approvals, and scheduling are everything. Rella allows my team and me to plan content calendars, manage approvals with clients, and keep everything in one place so the workflow stays clear and efficient. It’s been incredibly helpful for keeping both our internal team and our clients aligned.
What's your approach to work-life balance?
I've yet to master this but I try to be really organized during the week so I can enjoy my evenings/weekends. I always plan self care moments for myself throughout the month and getaways when I can to unplug. Ultimately, planning/a good schedule is key.
How do you avoid burn-out?
I try to separate my business from myself. The same way when you file your taxes, you are two separate entities. I try to tell myself when it's past 5PM or I'm hitting that point of exhaustion/burn out like "hey it's time to clock out, you can clock back in tomorrow." That & touching a lot of grass!
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
My advice would be to enjoy the journey and not focus only on the metrics or the end goals. It’s easy as an entrepreneur to constantly chase the next milestone, whether that’s revenue, growth, or new opportunities. While those things are important, some of the most meaningful parts of building a business come from the process itself, the lessons, the creativity, and the relationships you build along the way.
