How Soon Hagerty Built Boundless Futures Foundation to Fund and Mentor Female Founders Building for Growth and Good

May 7, 2026

Meet Soon Hagerty, founder of Boundless Futures Foundation, a private foundation she started with her husband to provide grants and mentorship to female founders who create businesses for both growth and good. Soon is a serial founder herself, having launched two PR and marketing firms and a Vietnamese mission-driven restaurant called The Good Bowl, which she sold to her business partner in March 2026. She also serves as Director of Private Client Experiences at Hagerty Inc., the company she helped take public in 2021.

What makes Soon's work distinctive is how cleanly her many roles point in the same direction. Whether she is funding female founders through Boundless Futures, hosting ultra high net worth car enthusiasts at Hagerty, or building brands for clients like Lamborghini and Breitling earlier in her career, she keeps coming back to the same conviction: business is a tool for growth and good, and the most fulfilling chapter is the one where you finally get to choose how to use it.

Please share a brief introduction and your business:

I'm a believer in leveraging business for both growth and good. My corporate background is in public relations, brand strategy and events but my love is entrepreneurship. I've launched three businesses including two PR and marketing firms as well as a Vietnamese mission driven restaurant called The Good Bowl.

I also launched Boundless Futures Foundation in September 2023 to help female founders via financial grants and mentorship.

I recently sold my restaurant in March 2026 and am running the Foundation and consulting for Hagerty as a Director of Private Client Experiences for our ultra high net worth clients as well as advocate for female leaders in the car world.

Take us back to when you launched. What was your marketing strategy?

My first business was a boutique PR agency. Most of my marketing was word of mouth and referrals. My third business of a restaurant was really marketing around community and brand building not advertising.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Yes, my parents were entrepreneurs so building was always in my DNA.

Do you have a co-founder?

Yes I've had co-founders. They must not only balance your weaknesses but be sure they have the same vision as you do for your business.

Are you a mamaprenista?

Clear communications of when you will be focused on work vs. personal time

What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?

I've become a better leader both at my work and in my broader profession because of the lessons learned being a founder.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

Be clear what problem you are trying to solve for your customer and focus on that every day

If you've raised capital for your business already, what are some of your best tips or lessons learned?

Don't raise it to try to fix your business model, raise it to grow not sustain. Your business model should still work when you are bootstrapping.

When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?

How do you manage yourself (stress, growth, conflicts)

What did you do before starting your own business?

My corporate experience includes managing brands for Lamborghini, eBay Motors, Breitling Watches, Xellent Vodka, Vespa and recently Hagerty Inc.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I started my businesses because I love to build, create and solve problems for my audience. Brand strategy is my passion.

Do you have any recent wins?

I sold my restaurant The Good Bowl to my business partner!

What's one app on your phone that you cannot live without?

My daily mediation app

Who are your customers?

I help fund and mentor female founders for Boundless Futures Foundation. My customers for Hagerty Inc., are high net worth car enthusiasts and female leaders in the car space.

What's your top productivity tip?

Project stacking -- stack meetings and projects that are similar in scope together so I can better focus and go deep into those areas. When I have various projects or businesses and have to go back and forth it's hard to constantly shift my attention.

What's your favorite business tool?

Notion -- keeps my thoughts organized

What's your approach to work-life balance?

I don't think about balance, that feels like a myth. I think of it in terms of seasons of priorities. When I launched my restaurant I told my family and friends -- look I am going to be knee deep in this for the next 3 months and vice versa when I took a 2 week vacation to Asia, I did a lot of pre-prep to let them know I will be fully on vacation. It's not about trying to do it all in perfect balance, it's about moments of prioritization.

How do you avoid burn-out?

I make it a goal to close up shop by 9pm each night, always take one day off on Saturdays to not respond to email or do work and I am super disciplined that I do not look at any device before I meditate and journal each morning.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Be clear what problem you are trying to solve for your customer before launching your business. Ensure your business model is sustainable in solving that problem

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

I sold my restaurant in March 2026, running Boundless Futures Foundation which provides grants to female founders and head of VIP experiences at Hagerty so it's a great mix of things I'm good at and am passionate about

Soon's story is a reminder that the most generous version of entrepreneurship is the one where the founder turns around and funds the next generation of founders, and that a season of selling and stewarding can be just as ambitious as a season of launching. We are so glad to have her in the Entreprenista community and cannot wait to watch Boundless Futures Foundation continue to grow.
