How Beatriz Saavedra Built Beehive Consulting to Get Founders' Stories Connecting Before They Try to Scale

May 7, 2026

Meet Beatriz Saavedra, founder of Beehive Consulting, where she works with founders to get clear on their brand, messaging, and marketing before they try to scale. Beatriz spent her career in retail, merchandising, and brand management across fashion, accessories, and consumer products, working both inside corporate teams with larger brands and on the client side, which gave her a well-rounded view of how brands actually get built.

What makes Beatriz's practice useful is that she resists the urge to invent something new for her clients. A lot of the time, the product is already there, the team is already there, the traction is already there. The story just is not fully connected yet. Her job is to translate what is already working into something that resonates across the website, the content, and the overall strategy, the kind of clarity work that quietly unlocks the next stage of growth.

Please share a brief introduction and your business:

I'm Beatriz, founder of Beehive Consulting. I work with founders to help them get clear on their brand, messaging, and marketing before they try to scale. A lot of the time, the product is there, but the story isn't fully connected yet. That's where I come in. I help translate what's already working into something that actually resonates across their website, content, and overall strategy.

Take us back to when you launched. What was your marketing strategy?

When I first launched, it was very relationship-driven. I spent a lot of time showing up to networking and entrepreneurship events around Austin and having real conversations with people.

There wasn't a big "launch" strategy or moment. It was more about being consistent, meeting people, and letting things build naturally. It didn't follow a perfect plan, but it's what led to my first opportunities.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Not really. I've always enjoyed thinking creatively and strategically, but I didn't have a set plan to start my own business. It happened more naturally as I started to see a clear need for this kind of work and realized I wanted to focus on it more intentionally.

Do you have a co-founder?

No, I'm currently building this on my own.

What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?

Honestly, getting my first few clients through conversations and referrals. It sounds simple, but it was a big moment to see something I built from scratch start to take on a life of its own.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

That not every connection needs to turn into something immediately. Some of the most valuable relationships take time, and that's okay.

When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?

I tend to ask how they would think through something new or unfamiliar. It usually turns into more of a conversation, but it's the easiest way to understand how they approach problems and communicate.

What did you do before starting your own business?

I spent most of my career in retail, merchandising, and brand management, working across fashion, accessories, and consumer products. I've worked both in corporate environments with larger brands and in more startup settings, as well as on the client side, which gave me a well-rounded view of how brands are built.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I've always been both creative and analytical, and naturally someone who enjoys working closely with others. After spending years helping shape brands from the ground up and seeing how all the pieces come together, it started to feel like the right time to take that experience and venture out on my own.

Do you have any recent wins?

Launching Beehive Consulting and starting to get traction pretty quickly has been a big one. I didn't have a big launch plan, so seeing conversations turn into real opportunities and projects early on has been a really meaningful win.

Who are your customers?

I work with founders across fashion, beauty, and product-based businesses, from those still shaping their idea to those who have already launched and are starting to gain traction. Most are at a point where they know there's something there, but need clarity around their brand, messaging, and direction before they can grow in a more intentional way.

What's your top productivity tip?

Keeping things simple. I try not to overcomplicate my days with long to-do lists. Focusing on 2-3 priorities that actually move things forward has been much more effective.

What's your favorite business tool?

Canva and Asana. Canva makes it easy to bring ideas to life quickly without overcomplicating things, and Asana helps me stay organized across different projects and clients. I try to keep my tools simple and practical.

What's your approach to work-life balance?

I try to be intentional about how I structure my week depending on what I have going on, whether it's more meetings, client work, or networking events. I also know I'm more focused in the mornings, so I try to use that time for deeper work, and keep anything after 3pm lighter when my energy naturally drops.

How do you avoid burn-out?

I try to be intentional about stepping away, especially since working for yourself can easily turn into late nights with no real "end of day." Making plans with friends or spending time with family helps create that break and keeps things from becoming all-consuming.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

If you can, spend some time learning from or working alongside someone first. It gives you a much better sense of what running a business actually looks like day to day.

Also, try to have a bit of a financial runway. It takes pressure off in the early stages and gives you space to figure things out.

And expect it to feel like a bit of a rollercoaster at the beginning. It's a big shift, and it takes time for things to feel steady.

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

Right now I'm focused on continuing to refine my offering and build a strong base of clients. Over time, I want to expand into more structured services and partnerships, but still keep the work thoughtful and hands-on.

Beatriz's story is a reminder that the most useful brand work is rarely about reinventing a business, it is about hearing what is already working and giving it the language to land. We are so glad to have her in the Entreprenista community and cannot wait to watch Beehive Consulting continue to grow.
