Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

Hey hey! I’m Alexis Mastrogianni, CEO and founder of Virtual Integrity Partners, aka the secret weapon behind stressed-out entrepreneurs and overwhelmed executives. My job? To rescue you from the never-ending to-do list, optimize your business, and give you back your life. I’m also a mom, entrepreneur, and servant leader—which means I’ve mastered the art of juggling chaos with grace (or at least with coffee).

Who are your customers?

I serve busy executives, small business owners, and entrepreneurs who are looking for highly experienced, dedicated virtual assistants to help them streamline their operations, scale their businesses, and achieve true work-life balance.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I’ve been navigating the entrepreneurial landscape for 8 years and have always been passionate about business and leadership. I worked in social services for maybe 6 months out of college, and jumped into the entrepreneurial world right after. At one point, I considered returning to traditional employment, but an opportunity to start a virtual assistant business shifted everything for me. I saw not just an opportunity to create financial security for my family but also a chance to serve others and build a business based on integrity, transparency, and trust.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I truly have a desire for creating something that will leave a legacy. After founding, not just one but 3 businesses, I realized that through the work I do, the impact that's left is not just about me, it's about the transformation that happens for others. That is truly what drove me to start business and keep on the journey since.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

I didn’t always envision myself as an entrepreneur, but I was always driven by the desire to create something impactful. Over time, my experiences in business and leadership naturally led me to entrepreneurship, and I haven’t looked back since.

Take us back to when you first launched your business; what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

When I first launched Virtual Integrity Partners, my focus was on collaboration and building strong partnerships. Instead of relying solely on traditional marketing, I prioritized networking, word-of-mouth referrals, and showcasing the value of our services. This strategy helped us scale quickly, reaching six figures in just 11 months.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?

One of the biggest challenges has been balancing the demands of growing a business while being a mother. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed and questioned whether I could keep going. What I’ve learned is that having a strong support system, staying resilient, and maintaining a service-driven mindset are key to overcoming any obstacle.

What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?

I am incredibly proud of building Virtual Integrity Partners into a six-figure business in under a year and, more importantly, creating a company that prioritizes deep partnerships with our clients rather than just offering surface-level assistance. Myself and my team are truly thought partners, helping business owners optimize and grow their companies.

Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?

Yes! In the past year, Virtual Integrity Partners has expanded its team, strengthened our partnerships, and continued to provide top-tier service to our clients. Every milestone is a win, but the biggest success is seeing the impact we’ve made in our clients’ lives and businesses.

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

The next few years are all about growth and innovation. I plan to expand our services, enhance our offerings, and continue fostering strong relationships with our clients. The vision is to help even more entrepreneurs and executives step into a space of efficiency, clarity, and success while building a thriving business community.

What is your top productivity tip?

Ooooh, I love this question! My #1 productivity tip? Delegate like your business depends on it, because it does. If something isn’t in your zone of genius, hand it off. Your time is your most valuable asset, and you should be spending it on high-level strategy, not drowning in admin work. Other top tips: Time-block like a boss: Schedule EVERYTHING, including breaks, lunch, and even "stare at the wall for 5 minutes" time. Set a “top three” daily focus, If you finish those, consider the day a win! Automation is your BFF - Zapier, ClickUp, and AI tools? Use them and thank me later.

On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?

Let’s be real, burnout is sneaky and it will humble you if you let it. My strategy?

1) Non-negotiable self-care! A walk, a podcast, or locking myself in the bathroom for 5 minutes of peace (moms, you get it).

2) Enforce work boundaries, I will NOT check emails at midnight. I repeat, I will NOT check emails at midnight.

3) Know when to rest! Burnout doesn’t come from working hard, it comes from not resting smart.

What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?

Balance? LOL. It’s more like work-life juggling. My approach is to stop chasing "balance" and embrace integration. Some days, business gets more of me; some days, my family does. The key is being intentional about where your energy goes.

I like to batch your tasks, I don’t context-switch all day. I also use family time as a reset. It's a time to step away, be present, and come back recharged. Lastly, get help when you need it, whether it’s hiring an assistant or DoorDashing dinner (again), just do it.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

That "figuring it out as you go" is the real entrepreneur playbook. I used to think I needed to have all the answers before taking action, but honestly? Action brings clarity. Oh, and also, everything takes longer than you think, so double your timeline and breathe.

When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?

I do this often, so here are my tips:

1) Hire for attitude, train for skill. Skills can be learned, but work ethic and drive? Not so much.

2) Give them a real-world task. A resume means nothing if they can’t execute.

3) Look for alignment in values. If they don’t vibe with your company culture, it won’t work.

Are you a Mamaprenista? If so, please share your best advice for simultaneously managing a business and a family

YES! Running a business while raising tiny humans is like managing two full-time jobs at once. My best advice? My biggest is give yourself grace. You’re not failing, you’re doing two incredible things at once. Another is to prioritize like crazy, some things can wait. (Messy house? Eh. Business deals? Non-negotiable.) Lastly, include your kids in the journey! They love watching you build something great!

What's the one app on your phone you absolutely cannot live without and why?

Slack! Because if I had to manage my team through emails, I’d lose my mind. Also an honorable mention: Spotify, because a good playlist can turn any day around.

What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?

Monday.com! It keeps me, my team and clients organized, efficient, and sane. No more sticky notes everywhere, just one central hub of genius.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Absolutely! Here it goes:

Stop waiting for permission and just start. Be flexible but stay focused. The path won’t be straight, but keep moving forward. Your network is everything. Build relationships, collaborate, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
