Meet Entreprenista 100 Uplifter of the Year, Kate Isler

May 4, 2024

The Entreprenista 100 Uplifter of the Year award, presented by Chase Ink, highlights a role model who is dedicated to the success and wellness of other women through advocacy, mentorship, sponsorship, and purposeful initiatives that create opportunity.

Our Uplifter of the Year is Kate Isler, Co-founder of The WMarketplace, an innovative e-commerce accelerator and online sales platform dedicated to empowering women-owned businesses and driving economic growth.

Breaking into the highly competitive landscape of e-commerce—and one dominated by a single major channel—has been a challenge for WMarketplace.

After launching, The WMarketplace Collaborated with the Small Business Administration (SBA) and initiated instructor-led workshops tailored for women, which eventually evolved into a comprehensive accelerator program.

The accelerator’s success has been instrumental in its business growth, starting from regional cohorts in 2021 and 2022 to initiating its first international cohort in Ukraine last year.

“Our primary goal is to carve out a space that empowers women entrepreneurs to not only generate revenue but also retain profits,” Kate says.

Congratulations to our Uplifter of 2023, Kate!

It identifies the "Curse of Knowledge" as the true barrier to sales and shows why learning to "translate" your passion into clear client language is the key to connecting and closing sales without feeling "icky."
