Marta Spirk, TEDx Speaker & Coach, Helps Women Entrepreneurs Find Their X-Factor and Own the Spotlight
August 6, 2025
Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business
I’m Marta Spirk, a professional singer, TEDx speaker, best-selling author, and speaking coach. I help established business owners transform their message into a powerful signature talk and amplify their visibility using performance-based techniques. Through my programs, including The X-Factor Formula and Story to Stage, I teach entrepreneurs how to own the stage—whether that’s on video, social media, or a live event. My mission is to help women confidently step into the spotlight, elevate their presence, and unlock new opportunities for impact and income.
Who are your customers?
I work with established businesswomen—coaches, speakers, consultants, and entrepreneurs—who are ready to take their visibility and confidence to the next level. My clients are experts in their fields but often struggle with fully owning their presence. They want to improve their speaking skills, command attention in any room, and leverage performance techniques to attract opportunities like paid speaking gigs, media features, and business growth.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
Before launching my coaching business, I had a career centered around languages and communication. I started teaching English at 14 in Brazil, later became a translator and interpreter, and eventually moved to the U.S. But after having triplets, I felt called to do something more fulfilling—something that allowed me to help women express themselves and step into their power. My love for teaching and my lifelong passion for music and performance naturally led me to focus on visibility, confidence, and presence in business.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
Becoming a mom to triplets was a major turning point. I wanted to create a career that gave me flexibility while making a real impact. Initially, I started by mentoring women in personal growth and empowerment, but over time, I realized my true passion was helping women build confidence through speaking. I saw a gap in the market—so many brilliant entrepreneurs were holding themselves back from being seen and heard. That’s when I knew I had to create a business that helped them step onto their own stage and shine.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Not at all! I always thought I would have a traditional career in education or translation. Entrepreneurship wasn’t something I grew up thinking about, but I always had an inner performer and leader inside me. Once I started my business and saw the potential to create something unique, I fell in love with the journey of building my brand and helping others do the same.
Take us back to when you first launched your business; what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?
When I first launched, I relied heavily on social media to build my brand. I started with content marketing—sharing personal stories, lessons, and empowerment messages—because I knew connection was key. I also launched The Empowered Woman Podcast to reach more people and establish myself as an authority. Did it go as planned? Not exactly! It took time to find my voice and refine my messaging. I learned that consistency, experimentation, and embracing my unique strengths (like music and performance) were the keys to success.
What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?
The biggest challenge has been fully owning my own visibility. Ironically, I teach confidence and presence, but I had to overcome my own fears of stepping into the spotlight in a bigger way. At first, I struggled with separating my music career from my coaching business, thinking they were unrelated. But once I fully integrated my love for performance into my brand, everything changed. I learned that our biggest breakthroughs come when we embrace all parts of who we are.
What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?
One of my proudest accomplishments is creating The X-Factor Formula—a framework that blends performance techniques with business strategy to help women entrepreneurs amplify their presence. I’m also incredibly proud of landing a TEDx talk, growing my coaching business to six figures, and stepping onto bigger stages to perform and speak. Seeing my clients transform—whether by confidently launching a podcast, landing speaking gigs, or finally showing up boldly on video—is the most rewarding part of my work.
Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?
Absolutely! Over the past year, I:
-Developed and debuted my keynote concert, blending my love for music and speaking to inspire audiences.
-Was invited to emcee an event for the National Speakers Association in Colorado
-Had the honor of singing the National Anthem at major sporting events—combining my love for performance and empowerment in new ways.
What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
I’m expanding my X-Factor Formula methodology to reach even more entrepreneurs through live events, group coaching, and VIP intensives. I also plan to:
-Launch a high-level mastermind for businesswomen who want to elevate their brand through speaking, media, and performance.
-Release more original music and integrate it into my live events and coaching.
-Realize my dream to the sing the national anthem for a Denver Broncos game
-Continue helping women entrepreneurs step into the spotlight and become the stars of their own business.
Exciting things are ahead, and I can’t wait to see more women embrace their X-Factor and shine!
What is your top productivity tip?
Time-blocking and focusing on ONE key priority at a time. I plan my week around what moves the needle forward in my business and life, rather than trying to do everything at once.
On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?
I listen to my body and my energy levels. As a performer, I know the importance of rest and recovery. I build in time for creativity, exercise, and personal connection, and I give myself permission to take breaks when needed.
What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?
My life and business blend together in a way that makes sense for me. My kids see me working, and they also see me making time for them. I prioritize what matters in the moment and let go of the pressure to "do it all" perfectly.
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
That success isn’t about following a blueprint—it’s about creating your own. I spent a lot of time trying to fit into strategies that weren’t aligned with me. The moment I trusted my instincts and did things my way, my business truly took off.
When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?
“What excites you about this role, and how do you see yourself growing with it?” Passion and alignment are key in my business, so I look for people who truly connect with my mission.
Are you a Mamaprenista? If so, please share your best advice for simultaneously managing a business and a family
Yes! My best advice is to embrace flexibility and let go of perfection. There will be seasons where business takes more focus and seasons where family needs more attention. The key is to prioritize based on what’s most important in the moment and trust that you’re setting an incredible example for your kids.
What's the one app on your phone you absolutely cannot live without and why?
Recently, chatGPT for sure. It's helped me avoid analysis paralysis and just get going with my tasks without overthinking.
What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?
Kajabi! It’s the all-in-one platform I use for courses, coaching programs, and memberships. It keeps everything organized and streamlined.
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
Own your story, your voice, and your unique brilliance. The thing that makes you different is what will make you successful. Don’t be afraid to step into the spotlight and take up space—you were meant to be seen, heard, and celebrated!
