Kimberly Marcoux Build Melange de Blanc and Coterie White From Industry Insight

January 9, 2026

Please share a brief introduction and your business:

Hi, I’m Kimberly Marcoux. I’ve worked on the wholesale side of the bridal industry since 2007, spending years traveling extensively, building meaningful relationships with designers, and developing a deep, first-hand understanding of the market. Through this experience, I identified a clear gap in the industry—one that presented not only an exciting opportunity, but the potential to fundamentally elevate how designers and retailers connect. In 2018, I co-founded my first sales agency. Despite the uncertainty that comes with launching something new, the company experienced immediate and sustained growth. That success led to the creation of my second venture in 2020: Melange de Blanc, a modern pop-up bridal trade show designed to bring fresh energy, accessibility, and innovation to the market.

Both companies have since been featured in numerous press outlets, and I’m incredibly proud of how far they’ve come. What began as years of industry experience—and a growing desire for change—has evolved into a clear vision and two thriving businesses that continue to reshape and elevate the bridal landscape.

Are you a mamaprenista?

Yes, I have two young boys, ages three and four, who are truly the joy of my life. I’ve learned to be very intentional about how I balance my time—compartmentalizing when needed and making a conscious effort to be fully present with my children on the weekends. That clarity allows me to feel comfortable and focused when work requires late nights during the week.

Take us back to when you launched? What was your marketing strategy?

We didn’t have a formal strategy. I relied on my relationships and dedicated a lot of time to making calls, sending texts, and following up with emails to get things moving.

What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?

Being featured in publications such as Forbes, WWD, InStyle, and others—along with surpassing $10 million in sales—has been incredibly rewarding. It’s a powerful reminder that hard work truly does pay off.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

It’s essential to have clear contracts and well-defined safeguards in place from the start. I also truly believe in the power of community—places like Entreprenista are invaluable—and it took me longer than I’d like to admit to fully appreciate that.

When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?

I look for individuals who are self-motivated and proactive, so I often ask: once they’ve completed their to-do list for the day, what do they do next?

What did you go before starting your own business?

Wholesale both in bridal and ready to wear

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I knew I could help more than 1 designer at a time.

Do you have any recent wins?

We successfully relocated Melange de Blanc to a new space in New York, creating a more cohesive and convenient experience for the bridal industry—addressing a longstanding challenge and providing an effective solution.

What's one app on your phone that you cannot live without?

Motion helps me stay on track and prioritize my to-do lists effectively.

Who are your customers?

Bridal salons and designers across the globe.

What's your top productivity tip?

Applications: We previously invested significant resources in hiring personnel to perform tasks that applications could handle efficiently and at a fraction of the cost.

What's your favorite business tool?

Google docs because it is easy to use and keeps everyone organized.

What's your approach to work-life balance?

I do not have one but the goal is to soon!

How do you avoid burn-out?

I am still trying to figure that out!

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Running your own company isn’t always easy, but it can be incredibly rewarding in many ways. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to let your walls down, ask for help when you need it, and truly rely on your community—you never know who might be your magic ticket!
