November 18, 2025

Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business

My name is Johanna Amarante, and I am a Certified Holistic Trichologist (HPT, WTS), Cosmetologist, Educator, and the proud owner of Fabulously Made Salon & Hair Loss Solutions as well as Fabulously Made Education. With over 14 years of experience, I specialize in non-surgical hair replacement, holistic hair restoration, scalp health, and wellness, helping men and women restore both their hair and their confidence.

Who are your customers?

Women and Men ages 18–70 who are experiencing hair loss and are seeking solutions in either non-surgical hair replacement or holistic hair restoration.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

Before starting my business, I built a foundation in administrative assistant across several industries from school systems to real estate and insurance, plus front-office work in medical practices and travel booking.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

The leap of faith was to regain focus for myself, become a role model for my children, and gain full control of my life. I wanted to build something on my own terms without anyone else defining my worth, limiting what I’m allowed to do, or telling me what I stand for.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Yes, it runs in my bloodline from mother, father, grandfather, aunts and uncles. I didn’t always know exactly what direction it would take, but when I discovered the opportunity to provide hair loss solutions, I knew I had found the right place and purpose.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve encountered along the way has been balancing growth with personal and professional responsibilities. As an entrepreneur, especially in the hair loss and wellness space, I’ve had to wear many hats service provider, educator, mentor, marketer, emotional support and business owner all while being a mother.

What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?

The day I took the leap of faith and started my own business is my most proud moment. Through the years I have accomplished so many of my dreams from becoming a Trichologist, being on Bloom TV for 1 year, working with Shakira Isima product line and so many memorable moments I worked so hard for.

Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?

The Glazer Family Small Business Fund, created by the owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. ($2,500)

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

Our future home will feature a luxury salon designed for hair loss solutions, along with a dedicated conference and education center where we will host classes, professional trainings, and networking events. This will provide a hub for beauty professionals, holistic healers and small business to collaborate and share expertise offering clients a truly integrated approach to care.

What is your top productivity tip?

I love to create my checklist. I build in time for review and prioritization every week and every morning before diving into tasks.

On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?

I am still working on that. I have been taking nutraceuticals to stay healthy internally.

What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?

I use structure (like scheduling focused work blocks, planning breaks, and protecting family time) but I also leave space for flexibility. As an entrepreneur, unexpected things happen, so I allow myself room to adjust without guilt. Though at times it still can be challenging.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

I am new to Entreprenista but how resourceful and powerful of a community of business women. I wish I would have joined sooner.

What's the one app on your phone you absolutely cannot live without and why?

Pabau my booking system.

What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?

My Bio Scan! Many people don’t know what’s really happening inside their bodies, and not all blood panels capture the full picture. The Bio Scan allows me to help my clients gain valuable insight into their internal health, so they can make better lifestyle choices.
