Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business

I’m Giselle—founder of Digital Treasure Marketing & Consulting Agency. I help female entrepreneurs and business owners grow and scale with SMART, personalized marketing strategies that actually work. Originally from Havana, Cuba, I started my career in New York after shifting from law to marketing—and I haven’t looked back. My agency is built on purpose: to give women the strategic support they need without the overwhelm of traditional agencies. No fluff, no cookie-cutter campaigns—just real marketing that drives growth. I work 1:1 with every client because I believe that every business is different, and every woman deserves a partner who truly sees her vision. Currently living and raising my family in beautiful Florida.

Who are your customers?

Our customers are female entrepreneurs and business owners—particularly in fintech, med spas owners, e-commerce, and other service-based industries, who are ready to grow and scale with SMART marketing that actually works. Many have felt overwhelmed by traditional marketing agencies, or tried PR and didn’t get the results they were hoping for. Others believe marketing is out of reach or too expensive.

We work with women who want real strategy, not fluff; a partner who understands their vision and builds tailored, cost-effective solutions that actually work. Every business is different, which is why we don’t offer cookie-cutter packages. Our clients work directly with me, not passed off to a project or account manager. It’s a hands-on, personalized approach designed to scale smarter, not harder.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I have 10+ years or Marketing and Management experience.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I guess I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. I didn’t set out to start my own business, but I’ve always been the one who takes charge, who leads, who gets called “bossy”—not because I’m difficult, but because I have a vision and a mission.

Over the years, I started seeing so many brilliant women struggling to grow their businesses. They were investing in marketing and PR, but not seeing real results. Many were taken advantage of by big agencies or generic solutions that didn’t truly understand their business or speak to their goals.

When I was let go from my job, I realized it was time. I needed to do this on my own—not just for me, but for the women I wanted to help. I wanted freedom. I wanted time with my kids. And I wanted to create a space where female entrepreneurs could scale their businesses with confidence—with SMART, strategic marketing that’s personalized, effective, and done 1:1.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

As a little girl growing up in Havana, Cuba, my dream was to become a lawyer. Even at 9 years old, I knew I wanted to help people—that was always at the core of who I am. I worked hard to get the best grades in school, to go to the top school and even started law school back in my country for 3 years.

I didn’t call it “entrepreneurship” back then—I just knew I wanted to make a difference. But looking back now, I realize I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. I’ve always had vision, leadership, and the drive to build something of my own.

So while my path shifted from law to marketing, the purpose stayed the same: to help others grow, rise, and take control of their future. That’s what I get to do every day now, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Take us back to when you first launched your business; what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

When I launched my business, I didn’t have a perfect roadmap—I had a mission. I knew I wanted to help other women grow their businesses with marketing that actually works. So I focused on showing up—on social media, through content, and in conversations. I call it "soft launch"...

My strategy was simple: be real, be helpful, and build trust. I didn’t start with ads or funnels. I started with relationships. I reached out to people I knew, shared wins, offered value, and let the quality of my work speak for itself. It was slow (and still feels slow) but it was intentional.

And truthfully? It doesn’t always go as planned. There are still hard weeks. There are slow seasons. I still question this path almost every day. But one thing I know for sure—I don’t want to go back to a 9-to-5. I want to own my time. I want to be present for my kids. And most of all, I want to help other female business grow.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?

So many! Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. It can be lonely. It requires a level of self-belief that most of us are still learning to build. But my biggest challenge? Impostor syndrome. Even with experience, knowledge, and results to back me up, I’ve constantly battled that inner voice asking, “Who am I to do this?” I am finally starting to overcome it....

What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?

Watching clients go from overwhelmed and stuck to confident and scaling with a clear marketing strategy is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?

Personally, my biggest win is that I am finally building a business that gives me the freedom to be present for my kids while helping other women grow theirs. That balance was always the dream and now it’s my reality.

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

Becoming known as a trusted, go-to resource for women who are serious about growing their business with marketing that actually works.

What is your top productivity tip?

I get things done right after my kids go to school. I start your day with intention. I carve out time—just 15–30 minutes—to plan my top 3 priorities for the day. It helps me stay focused on what actually moves the needle instead of getting lost in busywork.

On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?

I do pilates on the reformer! Also, i offer clients the services I can do 100%, I never tried to sell anything extra.

What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?

It took me a while! I was always running and rushing in NYC...then I moved to Florida but still had that mindset to chase after the next thing...but I guess getting older also helps lol. Now, I structure my day around what matters most. I focus on my business and creative work while my kids are in school, and after 2:30 PM, my time shifts to them—school pick-ups, dinner, and everything in between. That boundary has actually made me more productive

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

Stop doubting myself and go out there to know other amazing women!

Are you a Mamaprenista? If so, please share your best advice for simultaneously managing a business and a family

Absolutely—I’m a proud Mamaprenista. And let me tell you, it’s not always pretty or perfectly balanced, but it’s so worth it. As I mentioned earlier, I "work" during school hours, and after 2:30 PM, I shift into mom mode—homework, dinner, snuggles, basketball, ballet...you name it. I’ve learned that being fully present in both roles (not perfect, just present) is more powerful than trying to “balance” it all.

Also—ask for help. You don’t have to do it alone. Whether it’s hiring support, leaning on your village, or simply being honest about your capacity, there’s power in owning what you can do and letting go of what you can’t. Example, if I cook dinner husband has to help with the dishes lol.

What's the one app on your phone you absolutely cannot live without and why?

Ads Manager lol...

What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?

Meta Business Suite—hands down. I love it because it gives business owners the power to manage their content, ads, audience insights, and messaging all in one place. But here’s the thing—most people barely scratch the surface. There’s so much untapped potential in the platform. Once you learn how to use it strategically, it can completely shift the way you market and scale your business. It’s my go-to tool not just for my own agency, but for all of my clients—especially female founders who want smarter, results-driven marketing without wasting time or budge
